There Are Many Headache Types

Two worlds: people with and without headaches
People with migraines or headaches live in an invisible ghetto. The exclusion often happens unconsciously by bosses, co-workers, friends or the partner. They show little empathy so when an attack happens the affected person might draw back from social contacts. The constant suffering with seemingly no end often makes them feel helpless and angry.
No two headaches are the same
They are different in intensity, duration, location, implications and causes. Every attempt to trace back the headache’s cause is like a detective’s work, demanding experience, instinct and a medical specialist’s knowledge as well as a great deal of persistency from both the patient and the therapist.
Headaches have many causes
Among others migraine, tension, painkiller and cluster headaches are the main forms. While there are many possible causes, many people suffer from physical overload and psychological stress, a condition with which many are nowadays afflicted.
Migraine
Migraine is a complex neurological illness, a temporary dysfunction of the brain. The main characteristics are the recurring headaches that can be accompanied by neurological and vegetative dysfunctions.
